It was a delightful surprise! This was the first award I received since I began creating oil paintings during the COVID period. Winning a medal may not seem easy, so I consider myself quite lucky.

The painting “Dragons – Beginning of Lives” was part of my very first batch of works. The story behind this piece revolves around a couple whose love transcends time. After they died, they transformed into two different dragons, each governing their own realms—one in heaven and the other on land.(天與地)

I aimed to illustrate their compatibility by rotating the painting at various angles, yet ensuring that the dragons remained balanced with each other. This creates a beautiful yin-yang effect in the composition.

Furthermore, I don’t view winning a prize as a major success. However, this recognition inspires me to keep progressing on my painting journey. In 2026, I plan to participate in more international competitions and create additional artworks.
